Private Dog Training, Garrettsville Ohio – Do you struggle with a dog that barks at other dogs, people or is super hard to handle? If this is the case you are not alone and we can help. Recently, we trained a Doberman in Garrettsville, Ohio which is near Kent.
The Doberman was aggressive in multiple scenarios and had attacked other dogs and a cat. She was also super reactive toward children.
The Doberman’s owners were feeling fear because they were going to have new neighbors. The new neighbors were Amish, had a dog, a horse and multiple children of a variety of ages.
The owners did not want anyone to get hurt. As a result, they decided to get professional dog training from Four Legged Scholars LLC Dog Training, Kent, Ohio.
I could personally feel their pain and I wanted the best for their home and especially for their dog. We trained their Doberman to be more relaxed in the yard by teaching her to be more responsive to basic commands when she wanted to bark at anything passing the house.
The commands that we mostly focused on were the following: leave it, watch, target, wait at the door, name recognition, sit, stay and coming during an emergency.
Within the first few weeks of training the owners became impressed that their dog was now listening to leave it when she was wanting to bark at motorcycles, people etc. that were passing the house.
We also got their dog comfortable with wearing a muzzle. Her owners then felt confident that their dog would be less likely to have a bad incident.
We actually taught their Doberman to love wearing her muzzle through dog training. Garrettsville, Ohio is where they lived and I was even impressed with how excited the Doberman was when the owner brought out her muzzle. She was almost begging to get it put on. It was super cute.
We did about 11 private sessions in the program they purchased for dog training. Garrettsville, Ohio was feeling much more calm already. Their dog was rarely barking in the yard or in the home.
Their neighbor’s moved in next door and their Doberman seemed fairly comfortable with most of the actions that the children were doing.
For the actions that the Doberman was still not comfortable with, the owners now know how to train Athena to get more comfortable with them.
To take it even farther they were even receiving compliments about their Doberman’s calm behavior since they began training from us from their relatives and from Stonewall Vet Hospital in Garrettsville, Ohio. Dog training definitely created much more peace of mind for this family. – Kim – Dog Training – Garrettsville, Ohio
