Four Legged Scholars – Mantua – Dog Training
Are you sick of having to chase your dog because he doesn’t come for you?
We understand how stressful and dangerous it can be to have a dog that doesn’t respond reliably to “come.”
You are not alone in this. We have tons of experience of getting dogs to come and can help your dog too.
Currently, we are working with a heeler mix named Gunner in Mantua. Dog training in their home is what we are doing together. One of the commands we are working on you…yes you guess it…is “come.”
Our main focus is to get Gunner to come well in the house and outside with minor distractions in his yard. Currently, his owner has gotten him to be more responsive to “come” in the house. Our next assignment will be to get him to “come” better outside.
That definitely will not be a challenge for me because my last border collie and I lived in Salt Lake City, Utah.
We hiked off leash in the desert and in the mountains. Seiki, my dog, learned to come to me around multiple distractions including: deer, horses, cattle, snakes, birds, chipmunks, lizards, etc.
Yes it was a wild world out there.
I live in Ohio now so now it is time for me to spread the knowledge in Mantua. Dog training for “come” with distractions takes much commitment, time and persistence.
It took Seiki a good two years before I could trust him around almost any distraction.
Fortunately, there are much less distractions in Ohio. Mantua dog training will be much easier for come.
However, with our experience, you will know you are good hands.
