Four Legged Scholars LLC – Garrettsville – Dog Training and Surrounding Areas
Are you struggling with exercising your dog esp in this cold winter snow? We understand. You are not alone and we can help.
Ohio is full of on-leash dog areas. This can be frustrating if you have an active dog that needs to run. I have owned very active dogs all of my life so the importance of getting them enough exercise was paramount.
Recently, a dog park has been built in Garrettsville. Dog training can also be practiced in this park because it is not busy.
A boy had a dream and decided to get the village to help in getting a dog park built. The fence was donated by a local car dealership and there are other people that are helping. Four Legged Scholars LLC, Garrettsville, Dog Training will be donating a dispenser for poop bags.
Go to the Portage County Village Park. When you drive into the park pass the library and drive down the road past the tennis courts. You will reach a parking lot for Headwater’s trail. Next to the trail is the off leash dog park
Because Garrettsville is a small town the quantity of dogs in this park remains low. This allows for a relaxing and easy way to let your dog run off leash. I highly recommend training the “come” command in Garrettsville. Dog training with treats can be difficult when there are many other dogs around.
You won’t run into this issue at this park. Keep your treats discrete or use the park when your dog is solo.
We are also excited to train dogs and their owners in this off leash location. Freedom, training and fun here we come.
Keep in mind that your dog can also be exercise through indoor training such as obedience, tricks and dog sports (agility, flyball, tracking, dock diving, rally etc.).
