Four Legged Scholars LLC – Dog Training – Kent and Surrounding Areas
Are you struggling with a dog that barks or whines often when he wants something?
Are you feeling overwhelmed by this behavior? We understand, and we can help.
Currently, we are training a Blue Heeler, named Merle, who lives in Ravenna. Kent is nearby.
We are working on teaching him to sit and be quiet when he wants something.
There are many trainers that call this the nothing in life is free policy.
Basically, in order for the dog to get what he wants he needs to sit and be quiet first.
It is important to do apply this technique on a day-to-day basis when your dog wants things.
This is a simple process for dog training. Kent owners will be impressed how well-behaved your dog will act.
Have your dog sit and be quiet before the following:
- Meal times
- Throwing a ball in a game of fetch
- Putting on your dog’s leash for walks
- Going out a doorway (house or car) to go outside for any reason
- Before playing tug-o-war
- During a game of tug. Take breaks every 10 -60 sec.
- Before giving your dog treats
- Before giving your dog a chew toy like a bone
- Before getting pet esp. if your dog likes to jump
Your dog will quickly learn good obedience from your consistent practice of the above during dog training. Kent visitors will be in awe.
