Four Legged Scholars LLC – Middlefield Obedience and Surrounding Areas
Are you feeling fear because your dog bolts out your front door? Maybe you will lose your dog. Maybe your dog will get hit by car.
We understand this stressful situation. We can help you feel much more peace in your home with your dog.
I am sure you will be much happier with (Middlefield) obedience at the front door.
Let’s create your dog to sit and wait at the front door now.
Start with holding the leash in your hands or tether the leash to a secure object in the house. Make sure your dog is hooked to the leash. Follow the steps below.
1.) Ask your dog to sit. C/t (click and treat).
2.) Take a step away from your dog. If he remains sitting c/t. If he breaks the sit, repeat step 1.
3.) Put your hand on the door knob. If your dog remains sitting c/t. If he breaks the sit, repeat steps 1-2.
4.) Turn the door knob. If your dog remains sitting c/t. If he breaks the sit, repeat steps 1-3.
5.) Open the door a crack. Shut the door. If your dog remains sitting c/t. If he breaks the sit, repeat steps 1-4.
Imagine a dog that waits at the front door in Middlefield. Obedience will relieve so much stress in your household.
6.) Open the door a bit farther. Shut the door. If your dog remains sitting c/t. If he breaks the sit, repeat steps 1-5.
7.) Repeat step 6 until your dog can hold a sit stay while the door is fully open. Then release your dog with “okay” and let your dog out the door.
We love helping people in their homes in Middlefield. Obedience is our expertise if you need one-on-one help.
