A big training secret is that to create peace of mind you need to dedicate yourself to consistency and persistence with your dog training. Ravenna dog owners maybe disappointed at first to realize that they have to put forth much effort. However, in the long run knowing this, will help you reach your goals.

Most people who call me and have been doing dog training with their dogs but are not getting results are missing this crucial detail. They are having a very difficult time in being dedicated to their dog training. Ravenna owners who have realized this are less likely to call a trainer for help because they just realize they need to practice more.

A great example a client of mine that lives in Garrettsville, Ohio. We have been practicing teaching her Labrador, Autumn, to settle through dog training. Ravenna is only about 20 min away from Garrettsville. So we are able to serve both locations.

Autumn took 4 weeks before her behavior look drastically different. Of course there were changes before then but they were so minor that the average dog owner would question if there dog was actually learning.

They would also stop training their dog because progress was just too slow. Being accountable and following through with consistency and persistence is not easy.

Autumn was a very hyper dog and would jump and bark anytime anyone came to the house. The first training day that I was there it took her a good 45 minutes. By week 4 she was settling down within 10 min. This is a big difference.

So remember this even when progress is slow it is important to continue forward with your dog training. Ravenna residents and friends will be impressed because they will notice the progress.
